CO&IN: photovoltaic system repowering completed
Optimizing the energy footprint in industrial manufacturing processes requires continuous technological upgrades. At CO&IN, the production of custom packaging and tags has long been integrated with solar generation systems. To maintain high yield standards and meet the electrical loads of latest-generation machinery, we have completed a revamping and repowering intervention at our production site.
The operation involved decommissioning the previous photovoltaic system and simultaneously installing new-generation components featuring significantly higher conversion efficiency.
The system upgrade is not a matter of mere corporate image, but delivers quantifiable structural benefits to the production cycle:
• Stabilization of operational costs: increasing self-consumption reduces reliance on energy market fluctuations, ensuring greater stability in the industrial cost structure.
• Continuity and conversion yield: the use of high-efficiency modules ensures consistent output even under sub-optimal irradiation conditions or high operating temperatures.
• Emissions traceability: self-generated energy directly reduces indirect emissions associated with the company’s electricity consumption.
This project confirms the continuity of a technical path embarked upon long ago, focused on improving plant efficiency and rationalizing energy resources used in production.
